Arohana means “ascending” or “climbing” in Sanskrit. In North Indian and South Indian
classical music, it is common to hear Arohana and Avarohana (ascending & descending
scales of notes of the raga). The symbol is of a rising Umblacherry cow, a breed native
to the Thanjavur delta depicted in simple form with cyan and ice blue colours to
capture the calmness and docility of the cow.

ANUP GUPTA - CHAIRMAN

Anup has held leadership positions for over 45 years. In a career spanning over
35 years at Unilevers, he has led the company's business in various countries spanning
India, China and East Africa. His subsequent assignments have been as Group CEO
in businesses that have operations in the electronics and automobiles sectors.
|
|
He is currently the Group CEO of the Siesta Group having interests in hospitality,
infrastructure, retail, and logistics.
|
|
|
|
Apart from that, Anup has interests in several other businesses including international
trading and consulting. His key contributions at Arohana are corporate strategy,
governance and cost management.

RAGHU RAM N C - DIRECTOR
|
|
|
|
NCR as he is known, is a technocrat turned serial entrepreneur. He was CEO at SpectraSoft
Technologies Limited which emerged as leading partners of SAP in India and was rated
amongst the top 10 emerging IT companies in India. It was listed in India’s top
100 emerging enterprises in August 2009 by IDL Media Inc.

Prior to this, the SAP implementation at Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, carried
out under his stewardship as VP-IT, is recognized as one of the Best Two Outstanding
SAP Implementations in the world (study conducted by the University of Applied Science,
Ludwigshafen, Germany in 2004).

|
He was conferred the inaugural CIO Excellence award instituted by CIOL-Data Quest
in 2004.
|
|
|
|
He has also worked in strategic and senior management positions in leading Indian
and Multinational Companies; credited with the implementation of India’s first ever
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution in an Engineering Public Sector in 1999.

Currently, he is busy in his roles as MD & Chairman of Nittoor Greenfield Pvt Ltd
and Director of Nittoor Dietary and Nutritions Private Limited. You can join him

DEVI PRASAD RAO - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Devi Prasad Rao, the founder and the entrepreneur behind Arohana, he has over 15
years of experience working with leading multinational banks in various capacities.
His expertise lies in building processes. He has a demonstrable track record of
managing the financial and operational imperatives in a Small-Medium Enterprise
(SME) environment.
|
|
Some of the positions he has held include Regional Product Manager for e-Banking-South,
Corporate Linked Businesses in ICICI Bank, Manager-Banking Solutions for the Merchant
Acquiring team based in ICICI Bank’s Corporate Office, and Merchant Relationship
Manager with HSBC Bank. Since ICICI Bank, he was the Chief Financial Officer at
SKC Retail Ltd and his last assignment was as Chief Financial Officer at Moksha
Yug Access India Private Limited.

Devi Prasad has completed his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering at Manipal Institute
of Technology, Manipal and his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IGNOU.
|
|
|
|
In his role as Chief Executive Officer at Arohana, he brings his passion and total
commitment to the business. He heads the day-to-day operations while planning the
next big step.

Raju
|
Procurement Manager - Hailing from Nagercoil district and armed with a B.
Sc degree in Agriculture, Raju has worked on a Corporate Dairy farm and now is inspired
to help to villagers reach the same levels of productivity and profits in their
own back yards as seen on a professionally managed farm. His job includes heping
Dairy farmers manage the change from casual dairy farming to commercial dairy farming,
showcasing best practises from other villages and spearheading various productivity
and quality initiatives.

Supervisor - Having worked in a leading Dairy company for five years, Senthil
oversees the daily logistics, not an easy task considering that the milk procurement
starts at 5 am every single day of the year

|
Ullas Karanth - Manager-Processing (Photo) Having worked in NGOs and MFIs
with a post-graduation in Master of Social Work, Ullas has the experience of running
his own milk processing business before joining Arohana. Ullas oversees testing
milk quality at the processing unit and conversion of milk to milk products. He
is also the unofficial photographer in the team!
